playing back 192khz at 48khz?

Quick question... I have a bunch of 192khz audio files that I need to play back at 48k. I do not want to 'convert' them to 48k per se, I want to play the actual samples at a different, slower, rate. I am using DP 4.61 and MOTU firewire interfaces.

I haven't tried it in protools yet as I would prefer to keep it in DP.

On a side note, I was surprised that my G3900 iBook would play 192k files out of the line-out.
