I have 2012 MBP Retina with no backlight, and cant figure it out how to fix it.
what it does is simply when I power it up backlight comes for a second and goes complete black, I mean no backlight whatsoever!
there is no water damage or nothing as far as I know.(btw I know how to solder and change parts. I have rework station as well)
my main guess is ,as of now , backlight fuse. however I don't know on these motherboards.
Here is the short video of it

Take it into apple?

Given the design of the display panel, I don't think its really repairable and more likely it needs to be replaced.
