OK... So I have used these independently. Now they're merged together.

So before:
  • Google Hangouts allowed for free wifi calls/video conferencing
  • Google Voice allowed call forwarding, but calls over your service provider

Is the only difference now the ability to call your number and use Google Hangouts as your primary way to do calls? I still have both apps. Which one is the one that will be triggered with an incoming call? Both? Does my phone still ring using the native ringing or does all three ring? I'm confused.

Also, how does contacts merge between native phone, Google Voice (contacts) and Google Hangouts?

And will I get a history of call logs and text messages on all three?
