I'm in the U.S. with a U.S.-designated Mac on 10.7.5. I have no problem playing Region 2 discs using VLC, but the problem is not in the ability to play these discs.
When I open the VIDEO_TS folder I notice that under "Date modified/created" it shows February 2036. It happens with most Region 2 discs, but not all. The day of the month changes, too... but the month and year is ALWAYS the same: February 2036.
This has never happened with any of my many Region 1 discs. Does anyone have any idea why this is?
