ImageUploadedByTapatalk1410646528.222636.jpg I guess my one is okay. Then again, I was streaming movies so it makes sense that it was only two hours.

Looks like I am not the only one with 2-3 hour battery life on the touch 5... I find this battery life unacceptable and extremely limiting for a device that costs so much.

Using iOS 8 beta 4, 5 or GM, I get around 4 days of stand by and 12 hours of lite weight "usage" on a full charge. This is about double of what I had in iOS 7.
Never did a clean install.

With twitch playing 98% of time and some minutes of tiny tower Vegas

Light sensor on, 50% brightness, Bluetooth off, wifi on, audio 30% with speaker

One thing: i used the charger only to turn on the iPod.

Those 8 hours could be 8 hours of listening to music, which wouldn't be impressive.

Which is why posting those screenshots is utterly useless.

In my case i described what i did during that time usage. A video footage is not possible...

And normally i dont care about time usage. The most important is having battery for all day and charging at night.

It was a mix of web browsing, playing games, listening to music and using various apps. The music was streamed.

iPod touch 4th generation, 8GB. This usage consisted of mostly wifi and light games. The battery life is particularly impressive for two reasons:

1. It is a 4 year old device, purchased at launch in 2010.

2. It suffered some particularly nasty water damage in 2011, and again in 2012. Both instances impacted the battery life but it still appears to do alright. It's not my main device so it would probably be worse if I used it every day.

Nice result for a 4 year battery and with water damage. Mine is used eveyday as main device, except calls and SMS obviously.

Sometimes i carry the data cable and a charger when i get out and go use a lot the iPod to wifi. There are days which i charge twice...

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1413020693.059268.jpg took it off charge 8am yesterday. Was using it in school for music for about an hour and some gaming Came home and while I was charging my phone I used the ipod. Then at 6pm I took my phone off charge and left the ipod in my bed sheets. Woke up and kept my phone on charge and started to use the ipod again. Now it's nearly 11pm and it's about to die. Good stuff. And I'm running 7.1.2 as well, definitely don't regret staying here.

My battery won't die and it's nearly at 6 hours usage. Is that a good thing? Haven't charged it in two days xD

I was playing dots and watching YouTube. Lasts a long time IMO.
