Continuity works for non iMessage SMS too?

If an android user texts me, will continuity show me their text on my iPad or computer, or only iOS messages? Thanks.
 
Yes, Apple refers to that as SMS relay. However, it is not yet activated and Apple will turn the feature on with an update in October.
