Iphone 6 + NON PLASTIC/Hard Shell Case?

Is it possible, or even doable to run a Spigen... "TOUGH ARMOR" without the shell? I watched some videos and it seems you could essentially use the spigen tough armor without what i call the "plastic part" of the case. I hate shells, and i prefer the lighted/rubbery part best, I do want the window on the back. A lot of their cases are sold out it seems.
