802.11a

Has anyone heard anything new about the possibility of an 802.11a card for OS X laptops? My school switched to version "a" this year, and I have no access to the network now in class or in the library.

(1 GHz Powerbook, 1 Gig of RAM, 60 GB HD, Superdrive)
