Resolved iPhone 6 Plus, throws errors when restoring

So I have been trying to restore my iPhone 6 plus now for about an hour and have gotten no where. Every time I try I either end up with an Error 17 on iTunes and the phone showing Connect to iTunes or Error 10 and the iPhone is stuck on the boot screen with a progress bar doing nothing. I have no idea what to do and I can't call AppleCare because its 11PM at night, and, oh yeah my phone won't work!

Please, please help. I have no idea what to try now.

Your host is messed up.
Make sure that you don't have any *.apple.com records in /etc/hosts. If you see anything w apple in it, just delete it.
