This article in the NZ Herald set me thinking:

http://www.nzherald.co.nz/business/news/article.cfm?c_id=3&objectid=11341607

What percentage of your income do you cough up for your Internet connection?

For me it is about 2.4% of my present income for mobile broadband….. Nominally 3G, supposedly good for up to 7.2 Mb/sec, in use I seldom see better than 350 kb/sec.

It is affordable because rent for my apartment is quite cheap (at about 14% of my income), but it doesn't have a phone, cable, or wifi connection. However it is conveniently located, has good natural light and ventilation, and great views.

It has taken a week for this poll to get any traction, and it has only another week to run. Still not enough responses to form any impression.

Maybe this poll is just a dead duck.
