*Raises hand*
I currently have a perfectly fast and beautiful 2013 27" iMac, maxed out with everything except for RAM and the 1TB SSD. I was going to sell it and upgrade to the Retina, but I noticed Apple has decided to stick a rather deficient laptop AMD GPU to drive a massive 5K display. I am betting the Retina will perform worse than my 2013 iMac when it comes to gaming and video work (which I do a lot of on).
In less than a years time, the iMac Retina will be powered with Broadwell CPU and much more powerful GPU. Any problems including performance issues will be ironed out.
Does it not make perfect sense to wait until the refresh, especially when you already have an awesome iMac? I think so. I really love to have a 5k Retina display, but right now I don't think is the right time to pull the trigger. I like to know who else is waiting it out like me!
