Surfing the web on iPad 1 has become excruciating. It crashes constantly. Does anyone know if there are any browsers that are "lighter" on resources that will still work on iPad?

How is it possible that a 3d gaming app like Infinity Blade II can run perfectly for hours but Yahoo on Safari runs for 60 seconds and crashes?

Replace it with a new ipad. The gen 1 doesn't have hardly any ram in it. We are in a javascript world.

Same here. I've tried different browsers and it didn't make it more stable. Don't really know what to say. I tried restoring it and it didn't make it crash less.

I can confirm this is true. My suggestion, sell it and add a bit more and get a refurb iPad Air. :)
