iPad How do you turn magnetic smart cover on?

Looking for the setting to turn on/off the magnetic smart cover on Ipad. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I can't get the magnetic cover to work. Have it on but when I close it, the Ipad does not turn off and it does not open when I open it. There use to be a setting in settings that you could turn this feature on.

With all the time you spent asking in this thread you could have found out the setting which is in: Settings, General ;)

"Lock / Unlock"

Is it silenced? How do you know it isn't off. Does it not make the "sleep" shutter sound?

It's like a refrigerator light, if you open the cover to check it will come on.
