Apple care activation,

Hello. I would like to ask about Apple care registration for iPad. I live in Lithuania where it isn't possible to activate Apple care but it does work in local service center.

Does registering Apple care requires cheque or meeting Genius at Apple store for registration. I'm wondering if I could I register my iPad by selecting other country like USA, UK or DE?
