What are the existing means to make a backup of all Mail messages so
in the event of data emergency (mails container files on disk are corrupted, or the Mail installation is corrupted, or the OS X is damaged) the user have immediate access to their mail messages using 3rd party mail client like Outlook, Opera, Thunderbird?

It is all stored in the below user library folder, but won't be readable in those other apps. You would need to restore the folder from backup then use the OS X Mail app to read the messages.

Code:
~/Library/Mail
