iPhone 6+ got wet now thinks headphones are plugged in no matter what

Anyone had this happen? My phone is working as normal except for it is behaving as if the headphones are always plugged in, which means I can't do things like place a phone call or listen to any sort of audio unless I actually have headphones on.

Of course, "make a genius bar appointment," which I will do, but if there is something I can learn in the mean time that'd be great.

Warranty is probably voided due to water damage. I'd file a claim under accidental damage coverage while still within the first 90 days if you purchased it using an Amex card or equivalent.
