pf for vpn client

So here is the deal. I want to have my desktop running a vpn client, but I would like to be able to ssh into the machine when it is connected to the vpn.

I was able to get a incoming connection but the outgoing is rerouted through the vpn.
Any pf experts on how to reroute the connection correctly? I have tried a few things already.
