Mail still takes forever to load..

Are you under the impression that I was joking or being snarky and not giving you solid advice? Let me try again.
- Setup a Yahoo, Gmail or Outlook accounts in your mail app.
- See if these accounts also experience the same issue as your AOL account.
IF the issue exists with the other accounts the problem may be your phone. That being the case:
1. try to delete and re-add your AOL account to the mail app
2. try restarting your phone.
IF the issue does NOT exist with the other accounts:
1. See if AOL is reporting any outages or slowness
2. Contact AOL customer service.
Looks like its aol. I can't switch. But if i were to switch, whats the best for a 100% apple user?
What you can try doing is creating a Gmail account and then just forwarding all your AOL e-mails to it. Maybe that will work?
I keep multiple e-mail accounts but they are all forwarded to my Gmail account. Or if you like you can create an iCloud account. All up to you.
I have 10 mail accounts on my phone in the stock mail app. Yahoo and Gmail mainly. Just one of the Gmail accounts always hangs retrieving. Never happened prior to iOS8.1.

5s on 8.1.1. Aol and hotmail plus 5 other mail accounts. The speed of retrieval hasn't changed since iOS 7.
