which monitor for 2014 mac mini

Wouldn't go with the Dell, Full HD on 27" is not the greatest.

LG. Full HD on anything over 23-24" is just awful for productivity. Pixels become so huge that text becomes rubbish.... At 27" you need 1440P instead of 1080P.

Depends on your Budget. Samsung's S27B970DS is a good display that can be ordered with a glossy coating. Iiyama's Apple Design inspired Display XB2779QS comes with a glossy Display and an attractive pricetag as well.

Some people in forums have reported rather heavy backlight-bleeding. So, better buy from a source that allows returns for this reason.
I would really not buy a display that blows up 1920x1080 on a 27" screen. It's waste of money - and your eyes will only get worse.
Unless you want to use it primarily to watch videos.
But then, you can get a 40" TV straight away...

A better display with higher resolution is still better on the eyes.

My eyes are not the best either, but I don't see myself buying a 27" 1920x1080 display.
I've always spent good money on CRT and LC displays.
Eyes are irreplaceable, currently. So better treat them well.

If you can get the Benq and it's in your price-range: yes.

Ideally, you would try the display in the store.
If all else fails, you can bring the Mini with you ;-)

Hm. The LG actually has Thunderbolt.
The price is unbelievable, actually.
It costs double here.

You have to buy it without any reviews, though.

Could be OK, could be not.

The Iiyama also seems to be a bit of a backlight-bleeder, from some reviews I've read.

Interesting that there are now a couple of monitors with TB connection on the market. Seems like Apple has sold a few Minis and a couple of Pros ;-)

If the LG doesn't have massive backlight-bleeding, it looks like it's the better display overall.
Apple's TBD is also an LG display at its heart, IIRC.

Whatever you chose, we would be glad if you could do a little follow-up here with pictures etc.
