I want to move all my time machine BUs for my nMP to a new hard drive. I am following the usually procedure for doing this, but get an error asking me to installer a new version of Pages (!?). The entire process stops and I don't have any where near the full set of BUs.
I have also tried Carbon Copy Cloner, but that didn't like doing Time machine BUs. And Chronosync.
Has anyone else had this issue/ have a work around.

Try using Disk Utility. That will do a clone of the partition. Just go to the restore tab and select your source and destination and click restore. The source partition will need to be slightly smaller than the destination for this to work.
