Hey Guys,

I just thought I take a quick snap of the new 6th gen asap, I know its a bit dark but I just arrived back home (2am). To my suprise a package from my friend in China had been delivered.

I know some people will immediately deem this as a fake and to be honest I don't care since the announcement is only days away.

My mate in China works at a distribution/courier facility which she managed to snatch several out of the box and decided to send me one since I did her quite a few favours in the past :)

The 6th Gen iPod also came with a copy of Quicktime 7.1 which has the new iTunes like gradients. I used the new Quicktime to encode a clip of 24 from a DVD I ripped earlier last week for a mate (new iPod export option).

More pics to come of Quicktime 7.1 and the 6th Gen iPod.

Im quite suprised this image hasnt reached the 700+ posts that the other "leaked" image recieved.

I am quite inclined to now say that this image is genuine, pureley because of the likeness of it to the other image. Anyhow it could be another photoshop jobby.

However i think i will wait untill the 28th and then express my final opinion :)

Only the weak sleep! Show us more pictures! the box, the back, the screenshot of quicktime pro, the menu functions of the iPod etc etc etc.

It certainly looks as if 24 is playing on it. I think this may be real.

Mmmm. You claim to have the hotest thing around in prerelease which the rumours boards are going nutz about and you are too tired to post more than one very average (dare say useless) pic about it...I think that speaks for itself.

While you're at it, show us the post marked package that the "ipod" came in. If you say you do not have it, then you're a liar.
Besides the fact that you're a newbie, I think you're probably lying.

does this mean that 24 is coming to iTunes. DREAMS DO COME TRUE!!!:D

really, we need more shots, and tell me if 24 is coming. i held off of the 5g ipod because there weren't enough good shows that interest me on iTVS. 24 would have had me buy, but now i think i am going to wait.

Well it would mean thi picture was taken a few weeks ago. On the other hand, the cameras clock may not be set correctly.;)

that is likely, but i was thinking about the fact that it had photoshop as the software. to me, that implies that the pic has been edited. but thats just me.

That's the EXIF data embedded in the image. You can see it in Bridge or GraphicConverter, if you have those.

Other suspicious bits are the manual exposure (who would take time to mess with that and not flip on the light?) and the very sharp borders around the "TV image" that can be seen if you play with curves or levels -- nothing else is that sharply defined. Really now, what's up with this?

Could have just been used to resize, so that's not a very good clue.

If he indeed does have it, why title the thread as he did?
If his story was true, wouldn't he call it more like, "I have the 6g iPod L@@K!!!!1!1!11!!!!1"
