What does "empty cache" do in the Safari pull down menu?

The same thing the "Delete temporary internet files" command does in IE...did you ever do that?

Like, it deletes your "cached" images/etc. that safari saves so sites load faster when you visit them again.

Indeed, i tend to empty mines every night but thats just me trying to clean up as much as i can before i hit my bed.

No. no record of the sites you visit are kept on your computer while using private browsing.

Another question, how much RAM should Safari be using? Well, an estimate i mean.

Depends how many windows/tabs you have open and how image/animated (flash) intense they are. I've seen it take anywhere from 30 to 300.

Nope, no clue. I'm in the Central NY area....around Rome, Syracuse, Utica...Oneida is between Syracuse and Utica.

Yeah, Turning stone is in Verona, like 2 minutes from Oneida.
