I store all my contacts with Gmail. I've done this with Droid since the first Droid came out and never had a problem. Last week I moved to an iPhone 6 and all my contacts appeared to sync. Then yesterday I noticed one of my contacts was missing an address even though I know it was there last week. I dug around some more today and learned that I've lost mailing addresses for most of my contacts and I've lost entire contacts. Not sure how many yet since I'm going through 300+. For example, my oldest brother hasn't changed addresses, phone, or email for 10 years. I mailed him a card last week but this week his address is reported as "work" instead of "home" and says "Portland, Oregon Area" instead of his actual address which is 80 miles from Portland.

How can the iphone delete information and then over-write my master database in Gmail? How do I recover this?
