Will a screen protector reduce the effects of the anti-reflecting coating? Will I see more glares?

Depends on the specific screen protector. Some are designed to reduce glare, some are not.

A reflective surface on top of an antiglare surface will reflect. The antiglare coating can't prevent glare for surfaces on top of the coating.
