YOUR Al17 Ship date / Order time?

I'm very curious to hear when (including time) people have ordered their Al17's vs when they expect delivery. I've heard that some ordered 7 Jan and theire delivery date is 2 March!

So post yours and let's see if we can try to figure out how many of these puppies have been ordered.

I ordered mine on 13 ( Monday ) January. Delivery Date: On or before March 26. Too bad Apple is not offering a double RAM offer for $40.00. At least they are offering a free T-Shirt and "Early Bird Special", a 10 % off w/ proof of purchase on any Apple merchandise!!

Oh my God!!!!!!!!!!! I will probably get mine in April. This is utterly ludicrous. Is Apple making, like 10 of them a day or what?

BTW, MacZone has double RAM for $40 install but that ends by the 30th.

The supplier's server currently reports my order: "ETA" February 8

But I regard this as totally bogus. We're talking Canada here folks. I go with April 32nd.

I can't wait till I actually purchase it when my family decides its a good investment--our current laptop is a Fuji****u AMD K6-2 450 MHz.

I've stressed to my family that laptops are where Apple is at.

i did a trial run through the apple store, and the said 30 days for a standard 17" alpb

After today's big hardware announcement, the base PB configurations went from 7-10 weeks to 6-8 weeks now. Hope they're erring on the side of caution. I wouldn't complain with getting mine in only 30 days.

A MacNN reader claims that his is scheduled for shipment on 30 Jan, but I find that VERY hard to believe considering how quickly I placed my order and it still says 20 Feb.

We shall see.
