Broadwell Mini?

I imagine we'll get a Broadwell Mini. Broadwell isnt available in the usual non mobile form yet which is why we haven't seen anything yet.

Late 2015 or early 2016, unless Skylake is out by then.

The broadwell mobile chips looks surprisingly good. I've read that even low-end models will have better than Iris pro graphics. That's a pretty huge improvement over Haswell HD5000 in the current mini.

Late 2016/early 2017 is when I reckon any update would be made.

I hope they just skip Broadwell and go straight to Skylake and that it happens before '15 is done. Then maybe I will buy a Mac again.
If we don't getter a better idea of Intel's roadmap accuracy in the next month I'm going to throw up in my mouth.

My bet is the 2014 mini was a transitional model, the next mini models will be built only around 15W TDP chips, and will allow a complete redesign. And it will start with Broadwell.

The broadwell mac mini is almost certainly coming!

As long as it ONLY has dual core. Apple has to force its cash bags into buying a monitor they don't want with the iMac, or a $3000 trash can they don't want, to go with a quad core.

Nowhere near Iris Pro in Haswell

Intel just announced the sale of the chips that would go into the MacBook Air, 13" MacBook Pro and Mac minis (the article is on the front page of MacRumors. It's fair game, though odds are it will be a while before Apple updates the Mac mini given that they just did so two months ago and they tend to not have a sense of urgency bringing the latest stuff to the Mac mini line.

Worng. They are meant for thin laptops. Tablets are core m. Mac mini uses laptop chips.
