Hi.
I have been contemplating upgrading my mid-2010 iMac to Yosemite, but am still using Snow Leopard. My iPhoto version is 9.2.3 - and I see that Yosemite will only use iPhoto 9.6 and I will have to upgrade the app as well.
I have been trying to back up all my photos that I can by exporting out of iPhoto to folders in case the upgrade trashes my iPhoto library somehow.
I realize iPhoto and Aperture are being dropped soon, but any suggestions on how to save all my photos and projects ***before*** the upgrade, and how to best upgrade if I go to Yosemite?
P.S. I also have a mid-2007 imac running Yosemite with a nearly empty iPhoto library which won't load until I upgrade the app.....could I try to copy my big library backups to that and see what happens?
