Your model uses 1600 MHz DDR3 SDRAM (PC3-12800) memory. As long as those specs match, you're good.

You can find specs on all Apple products, including maximum RAM:

I have Corsair Vengeance of the proper specs in both my Macs, 16 GB in my MBP and 8 GB in my Mini, both run beautifully with the memory. The Vengeance is the same price or lower than the Kingston.

Second the Vengeance. Have it in my mini, my 2012 iMac, and just recently moved it (32GB) from my 2012 iMac to my 5K iMac.

According to Kingston's website, the Mini is not compatible with that model of RAM. Use the web - it's quite handy: http://www.kingston.com/us/memory/search/?partid=kvr16ls11/8
It is compatible.

I purchased one today and upgraded my 2012 mini to 10gb.

I want to add that I am taken by suprise by the perfomance increase. I didn't expect much.

With pcie ssd based macbooks I see no difference between 4gb and 8gb, but on my hdd-based mini the ram upgrade made a noticeable impact. I was able to postpone the ssd upgrade that will be due sooner or later.

I am a happy customer right now :)

My main concern is finding a reasonably priced thunderbolt enclosure or having to open up my mini.

this is true, i'm just expecting it to be reasonably priced based all the daily emails i get from Newegg, Amazon and others...there's a lot of electronic gear at cheap prices. my last purchase was an Samsung 840 EVO 250gb for $55 shipped.
