1 GB RAM + External for my Ibook, or Mac Mini?

That is the choice I have right now, by summer time I will have enough money for either one of these combinations. I already have a monitor at home that I can bring to my apartment to hook the mini upto. Which would you think would make more sense, buying a stick of 1GB ram for my iBook and getting an external hard drive or buying a Mini and having two comps.

Oh btw, is there anywhere I can buy a mini that isn't Intel powered anymore?

You'll want to buy extra RAM for the Mini anyway...

Also an external Firewire hard drive you can boot from , have a clone of your OS on, and backup your files to is a Very Good Thing no matter what machine you have.
