Galaxy Gear S questions

Ok so at one point I played around with Galaxy phones and had a Note 3 as well as an original Galaxy Gear. At the time there was an app that allowed you to create a custom watch face. I was wondering is that still around now on the newer watches? Also is the watch display always on with the Gear S?

If you go into the Play Store, you can see examples of Watch Styler for the Gear S and Android Wear devices.

I don't have an android. I'm up,for contract renewal soon and debating on if Imshould go android or Apple
