final cut express

i know final cut express is a "watered down" version of FCP3 but what exactly are the differences? At my university bookstore i can buy FCP3 for $299.99 and Final Cut Express for 149.99. Which would you suggest buying? I took a film course where i used FCP3. It's an amazing app but what am i actually getting for that extra 150 bucks?

Get FCP.
Batch Capture is worth the $$$ alone.

$149 is a good price for FCE. The Apple Education store lists it for $249 and FCP for $299. For $50 I'd definitely go for FCP.
