iPad iPad stand to complement macbook

I am just using one of these instead of a stand. However, I had to take the Apple cover off the iPad before attaching it.

I have the original Stabile (the first gen pivoting one) and though a bit overpriced, it's an incredibly solid hunk of metal that's well crafted & should last pretty much forever. And it's device agnostic, for the most part; while sized for full size tablets, even the iPad Mini fits on mine, though only in landscape mode. No need to remove cases, nothing to bolt onto your monitor or desk, no tools required.

Yeah, I think the iPad 3 would be too thick and heavy and their website doesn't say that it is compatible.

I have the Air 2 and 2011 MBP and it doesn't cause any issues with the screen. One of the main benefits to this approach is that you can use it on your lap. A stand would require a surface to sit it on. However, if you have an iPad 3, you don't have much choice.
