Just picked up a "smoking" deal on a 2012 iMac with a broken screen for $400. Seller had a link to an Amazon screen for $49 which said it was for a 2012 iMac. Then I started reading to find the part number only to find out that the screen is fused to the LCD. Is this right?
Did I get hosed? Looks like the screens cost about as much as I paid for the mac so it isn't such a deal anymore.
Can I somehow repair it by just buying the glass, or do I need the whole LCD fused glass piece. This is the slim iMac.
