I've recently bought a Mac Pro 5.1 2x6 core 2.66 GHz, 24GB ram and Radeon HD 5770.
I'm a software developer and in my off time I'm an avid amateur DSLR Videographer.
Now, the graphics card isn't all that great, so I was wondering if I could buy a FirePro and have that card be used for GPU acceleration in Final Cut Pro, Motion and Compressor?
The reason I don't want it to be the main card is, I want to keep the Mac card for Boot Camp purposes.
Does anyone have experience with this? Would it be sensible?
