Just recently got my rMPB and am looking for some desktop usage advice.
I currently own a 21.5" 2011 iMac and am planning on getting a 4k monitor within the week and I just purchased a rMPB 13". So I am wondering if this would work.
Plug my rMPB into the 27" display to one TB port, Plug 2nd TB port to iMac and then turn on target display mode. Does TDM work via a chain or does it have to be directly plugged to the rMPB?
Now you may ask why not just plug in both to rMPB, well I am hoping I can use the 27" as a 2nd display for my iMac without having to do a wire shuffle. Please let me know if this makes any sense at all or am I just out of my mind.
