My timing in getting the snapshot done was bad; somewhere around 69. Wonder how you got the image snapped.

Folks, is there any good sites, or some type of material, that could help me out with this stuff? Im in the process of building, or buying, a new desk, and currently, I have my Time Capsule, one 2TB HD, one 1.5TB HD, and one 4TB HD daisy chained to each other via FW, and into my iMac via the FW. I access the stuff frequently, so I dont know if wireless would be the way to go. I was thinking about opening up the drives, and getting something like a Drobo, but Im not sure if that is the way to go. I would like to access stuff from my MB too, and if possible, my iPad and iPhone. Im just really novice when it comes to this, and since Im getting ready to get my desk done, I want to get everything done already.

Write Speed: 95-100 MBps in RAID6.

Read speeds are a little bit better, but my gigabit network is the bottleneck.
I need a 10/100/1000/10000 network.

I have a question.

I have a Thecus N4100 Pro, right now with 2x 1TB drives. Can I just add in another drive, or do I have to format the thing?

I have no idea what kind of raid it's in (If any), but I THINK I get a little less than 1.7TB of real storage.

My NAS is just an old Athlon PC (2007 vintage) running Windows 7, no RAID just single hard drives, connected via Gigabit Ethernet.

FreeNAS box (8.0.2) running 6 x 2TB in ZFS raidz1, all SATA II WD Green over GBE via AFP using 5GB testing. Took a fair bit of tuning to get it there and the server runs a 2.8GHz Pentium G6950 and 8GB of RAM (most allocated to ZFS). I am pretty happy with it though. Runs well.

Mercury Elite Pro Qx2. However I do not have it set up for wifi use. It's connected to my Mac mini with FireWire as a backup and media storage running RAID 0. 8 TB (4 X 2TB drives). I live with two roommates so I don't want to bog down the wifi with my setup. One day when I get my own place I'll get a better connection.
