Thanks, that one's a little too vertical for a desktop, I've got something similar in style that is designed as a wallpaper though. Just check the link and let me know what you think:

BTW, how do you post the large versions of images and not just the thumbnail link?

Hi, thanks for the compliment...

sometimes the best images are the ones that take the fewest time (10 minutes on this occasion!) - it was a simple layer blend mode (screen i think - cant remember without looking) and a bit of dodging and burning.

Sure is. How many of you do the Photoshop contests at www.fark.com or www.somethingawful.com?

I made this starbucks symbol

out of this symbol

I'm impressed with myself! I just turned 15 & I'm planning on doing this kinda stuff for a living.

(EDIT: if you are wondering where the R went for registered, I used the elliptical tool marque thingy to cut only the symbol...the R interfered with my shadow)

&&&&& then i made this one...and the reason why the edges are black is 'cause you can't have rounded corners when you upload them to put on youuurrr myspace. so i put it black corners so it looks rounded but its not...since my myspace is black. (make sense? k )

& this is the one i made for dana 'cause she wanted it...and she likes hearts....so i put hearts.

I already have enough trouble recreating my work.

Except the '3d bubble' things. I'll make some tutorials though once I get a hang of it.

Well, there's a vector shape in photoshop that I can blow up so big it looks like fans. I've attachted a pics of the shape.

All you have to do is use the direct selection tool (the white cursor) and select the inside or outside circle of this shape and move/resize them to create more depth. Then slap on a gradient, and make it huge so the outside circle is outside of the picture plane.

i do however do all of my photo editing and such in PS.

i still like illustrator better, though, since i mostly design for print. a few examples:

More in the gallery.
