As the title says, I know Google "auto" selects best quality based on speed, but is there a work around? I don't want to watch 240p, I will wait for it to load.
Also, after I bought the Chromecast I discovered that the TV has an option to stream YouTube to it (no dongle required, TV name under Chromecast name) which made me pretty angry at myself.
Is there any other "extra" advantages for the Chromecast? I can't use streaming services like HBO GO and HULU because I am not in the US. I tried to "Cast" a browser tab it worked but the screen on the TV is a bit zoomed in. I tried to play a movie file in chrome and "cast" it, at first it worked but then in the action sequence it dropped frames and became slow motion.
