problem. confusing. help.

i recorded a bunch of voice memos and an interview (for use in a podcast later on) on my iPod using iTalk.

when i got back from the trip they transferred onto my computer when i plugged in my iPod. they were accidentally deleted from my computer. They are still on my iPod. -- I can listen to them. But they will not go back onto my computer. I've tried everything. when i troubleshoot it says to 'add to library' from the "recordings" folder. They aren't there.

My theory is that the iPod no longer views them as recordings but as songs (they're in the normal library on the iPod) even though it's just me and a friend talking. They are most definitely voice recordings rather than copyrighted material but the computer doesn't seem to acknowledge this.

anyone know how to get these voice memos back on to my desktop?

i'm going crazy. they're useless being iPod only.
