Unless you're in Europe where there's 3-4 weeks on even the base model... Not what i expected

any one else get april 22nd as earliest date for in store pickup? and 20th for shipping?

Yep. You can also pay $10 to expedite shipping, which brings the delivery estimate down to April 16-20.

Mind you, this was for a 1.2GHz, 512GB model. Ordered in CA. The 1.3s are apparently not shipping for 3-4 weeks...

You lucky guys, no expedited here in Europe. Earliest delivery mid May sometime

For what CPU speed? All 1.3Ghz shipping times are 3-4 weeks, expedited shipping or not.

Right. Sorry, I should've made clear that my case was a purchase of the 1.2/512 model. With the $10 shipping upgrade, my delivery estimate was at April 16-20.

So with previous history, did Apple carry BTO options like the cpu upgrades in stores? If they do have stock in stores at some point, will they carry the BTO option?

Not likely. BTO configurations are usually not in the stores.
