Can't Record Computer Audio and Listen at same time.

So, I have a bit of an issue with my audio. When I go to record my computer audio, I have to go into my settings and select the output as "ComputerAudio" If I keep the output at "Headphones", the audio will not record. If I keep it at ComputerAudio, it records but I cannot hear it. At one point in time, I could just click record computer audio and I wouldn't even have to go into settings. If anyone could help, I'd greatly appreciate it

I'm using Quicktime (newest version) on a Macbook Air.
