Someone stole my iPod today and I was just wondering if the warranty that you buy at best buy covers theft?

It does not. However if you have homeowners insurance or renters insurance you may be covered.

But likely not worth it...simply inquiring about filing a claim can cause them to jack up your rates.

With the messed up insurance industry in the US, the only thing homeowner's insurance is really good for is complete disasters like a fire that wipes out thousands of dollars worth of stuff. So raise your deductible as high as you can to lower that premium and hope nothing happens to your "little" stuff.
