I am the sole user, and administrator on this iMac Computer.
However, when I try to make changes in the Preferences in Calendar, it tells me that only the Computer Administrator can make these changes.
Any suggestions?

What OS version are you on?

In the meantime, create another Administrator account and see if you can change Calendar preferences. This is to see if the User Account you're currently using could possibly be corrupted.

I have the same problem Brian. I set up a second Administrator account and was able to add events to that calendar, but when I go to the calendar on my original user account (Administrator); the event is not on that calendar and I am still not allowed to make changes it still says only the Computer Administrator can make these changes.
