2012 MacBook Air Pricing

I work for a school, and we're looking at replacing our 1:1 MacBooks with 1:1 iPads.

Our buyback offer on the 2012 MacBook Airs came in at $200 per unit, which seems insanely low to me. Keeping in mind these are not certified refurbished and have no warranty (but ARE fully functional), what do you think a fair sales price would be? I was thinking in the $400 range. I see them listed used in the $500 range...

13" 1440x900, 1.7GHz i5, 4GB RAM, 64GB SSD, Intel HD 4000 gfx.

Judging by prices online, I'm thinking we price them at $550 and just do an open public sale for a couple days. (Mods: not to be interpreted as a sales offer here! I'm not shipping anything! )

The only thing that hurts their value is the 64 GB SSD. It looks like they go for between $350 and $550 on eBay, so if you just want to move them price them around $495 and accept anything over $450.

Thanks! I mostly just wanted to know I wasn't crazy thinking that was low. Apple's response was that there's a lot of the '12 Air stock out, so supply is high and demand is low. But that's for the corporate buyback market, not necessarily the used market.

The pickle we're in is that we need sales of old stuff to cover the last lease payment. Then we'll use the money budgeted for that payment toward the first payment on the new lease, which will put more devices in the hands of more kids for the same amount of money.
