I have about 300 CD's and I'd really like to take that step in "digitizing" all of them into MP3 format so one day (hopefully) when I get an iPod I can listen to most of my CD collection.

A question now, since I still didn't buy my iBook yet:

Should I continue to rip my CD's on my Windows machine, then transfer them over once I get my iBook?

or....

Should I start the task once I get the iBook? This way no file transferring, etc.

Any suggestions? I already have like 3GB of mp3s on my windows machine... not really sure how I'm moving them over.

I have a similar potential problem but not quite so many mp3s (about1.5gb i think). How good is the mac in general at sharing files with pcs? Will I be able to save a document in appleworks and transfer it over my pc network and then print it out using my pc's printer for example?
