I have an unusual problem with my mouse. All the directions are reversed!

Explained in more simple terms:
When I move my mouse to the left, the cursor moves to the right.
When I move my mouse to the right, the cursor moves to the left.
When I move my mouse up, my cursor moves down.
When I move my mouse down, my cursor moves up.

Does anyone know of a software fix in OS X to fix this issue? Hours of googling has gotten me nowhere.

Don't you got your mouse backwards? #

Did you installed any 3rd party drivers for mouse or trackpad?
In example USB Overdrive ? ( www.usboverdrive.com )

This driver can do such things in settings section

I will try USBoverdrive and see if I can fix the problem.

This is an issue inherent to the mouse, not my computer.

This worked! Thanks for the suggestion! I went into advanced settings and found a way to reverse input. Will just have to change this each time I switch between the trackpad and mouse.

Im glad the usb overdrive helped out
But... You didnt have your mouse the other way around did you? ;-)

What kind of mouse are you using?
Does the same issue occurs on other computers?

The mouse is this one here

The cursor movement direction is reversed on the 3 macs and 1 PC that I tried it on, so it is clearly an issue inherent to the mouse. Perhaps it is a driver issue. In any case, USB overdrive takes care of the problem very nicely.
