Hi, i have an old Macbook Air that my Aunt gave me, but it doesn't have the charger. I have one but it doesn't work, my question is, Can I take the plug from the Macbook charger and solder it to a Dell Charger, I know the voltages are different but maybe with a regulator it can work.

Please if someone have done this any help or directions would be most appreciated.

No, the Magsafe doesn't just provide power, there is a negotiation involved.

You can pick up used 45w MagSafe adapters pretty cheap, far less effort to just buy one.
