Major security flaw - I must be missing something?!

Hi guys...

Noticed today by complete accident that when I put my MacBook to sleep, and then wake it, and then on the password screen press escape, and immediately wake the computer again, it lets me in without asking for a password!

I must be missing something?! This is major!

Unless you changed this setting from the default, then the only glitch is that it asked you for your password at all.
