two windows partitions on accident?

hello all!

when i boot into windows, i then have to choose between, supposedly, two windows xppro partitions.

did i accidentally make two of them?

in osx only two hd's are seen, and the math works out on them...

why would windows ask me to pick between two seemingly similer partitions?

?

If you install xp pro a second time on the same partition, the boot manager thinks there are 2 installs. I had to go back and erase my internal drive then repartition.
