Lately when listening to a podcast/music and browsing safari the webpage will get really laggy and occasionally the music will skip. Also the phone will get really hot.

Is this normal? I have an apple watch so don't know if that makes any difference.

Considering how the 6+ is underpowered from the factory, I'm not surprised to hear it skip especially if it gets hot and the CPU gets throttled to keep temperatures down. It's just more evidence of how apple dropped the ball with this phone.

I've heard music skip on mine too at times. The last time I heard music skip on my iPhone was with my 3G.
